Xbox Ane Controller (Bluetooth Compatible) running Firmware Version three.1.1221.0 (Or lower)
NEXiLUX NXL-95195 Game Genie Controller Adapter
Note

Don't update the firmware version to 4.8.1923.0. If you do and so, you lot'll no longer exist able to utilise the Xbox push button as the PS push stopping you from accessing the XMB while in-game. Other than that, the controller will still office.

I realized this after I updated my controller'south firmware from my PC. I was able to purchase another controller with the same uniform firmware.

Instructions
1.
Connect your NEXiLUX NXL-95195 Game Genie Controller Adapter to your PS3 (Either port is fine).
2. Press the sync button in one case on the adapter.
three. Turn on your Xbox I controller by belongings the Xbox push.
4. Hold the sync button on your controller until the Xbox button flashes.
5. Once the Xbox push stops flashing and stays lit, your controller should be synced with your PS3.

Xbox I controller is pretty skillful with racing, shooters and Fifa . Preferable to a knockoff PS3 controller and even to a genuine i for some people .
I have a single xbone controller that I was going to utilise instead of my wii u pro controller on the pc, merely I've had it not connect or lose sync. that never happens with the pro controller and the mayflash adapter.

it's easier but to sink up a PS4 controller to your PS3. I tried to sync up an xbone controller and the PS3 recognized it, this is without a dongle, just straight bluetooth connexion. simply it fails to connnect. My Ps4 controller synced up correct abroad.

I know this is a bump, only I wanted to mention that I recently snagged i of these—it works! Pretty handy since it's basically incommunicable to get a genuine DS3. I've tried every tertiary political party controller I could find over the past 7 years or so. They all suck, pretty much. The best i I had was the Giotech Sports Controller (R1 stopped working.) Power A has a prissy looking controller where the buttons light upward, simply the buttons take a tendency to stick, regardless of how clean the control is.
Using a One S controller—Xbox button doesn't work as the PS push button when synced up and using wirelessly. Merely it does work if you but connect it to the adapter with a cable. Pocket-sized inconvenience, but game I tin can call up of which this will cause problems is Demons Souls (Quit game abuse)

Tested and it works for PS2 and PSX games as well. PS2 games I take to reconnect the controller to the cablevision, and then resync to go it working wirelessly again. Could just leave it plugged in if you have a long enough cord.
